The Taste of Vail is the nation's premier spring food and wine festival, held at several venues throughout North America's No. 1 mountain resort. During this year's annual, four-day event, as many as 6,000 people are expected to taste the Vail Valley lifestyle, showcasing world-famous Vail Village and set against dramatic Colorado Mountain High vistas. Participants at the Taste of Vail experience offerings from the Vail Valleyıs world-class restaurants, fine wine poured by winemakers and winery owners from renowned wineries throughout the world, interactive cooking seminars, an Apres-Ski Tasting, the popular Mountaintop Picnic sensory extravaganza at the top of Vail Mountain, the famous Grand Tasting auction and dance and other exciting events. The 18th Annual Taste of Vail was held April 2- April 5, 2008 and featured guest chefs and wineries from across the nation.

The guest chefs at the 2008 Taste of Vail included Chefs Tony Aiazza (Aureole, NYC), Joseph Manzare (Zuppa, San Francisco), Curtis Lincoln (Brown Palace Hotel, Denver) and Diane Henderiks (Dietician in the Kitchen).


The premier event of Taste of Vail is the Mountain Top Picnic atop Vail Mountain.


Guests enjoy cocktails at the igloo martini bar by Belvedere at the Mountain Top Picnic.
