Mike Sheard graduated from the Culinary Institute of America with an Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts and Hotel and Restaurant Management. Sheard is the Executive Chef at Two Elk Lodge and has worked with Vail Resorts for 26 years, starting his career at Golden Peak Grill in 1989 as the kitchen and dining room manager. Previously Mike spent six years as the Executive Chef at Wildwood Smokehouse in the winter and banquet Chef at Eagle's Nest in the summer.

Sheard takes special pride in preparing food using the freshest and highest quality ingredients. The biggest challenge of the job is providing the amazing food in large volumes for Vail Mountain's flagship restaurant. The best reward for Mike is serving happy customers who enjoy their food and dining experience.
