Rick Moshin is a self-taught farmer/winemaker who (along with friends and family) built a gravity-flow winery in the heart of the Russian River Valley. He enjoys experimenting with different varietals and winemaking methods but his heart will always belong to Pinot Noir.
Moshin Vineyards was founded in 1989 by garagiste winemaker and math instructor Rick Moshin and his family. In 2005, they realized their dream by building a winery on Westside Road in Healdsburg. The estate specializes in single-vineyard, winemaker-tended Pinot Noir.
